I love a good multi purpose product. Not only am I able to store my fruits and veggies in these mesh bags they are also great for a number of other things. We went to the beach last week and these bags were great to put my daughter's clothes in. Being mesh I just shook the bag (with her sandy clothes in it) and the sand just came falling out. They are great quality. The material is heavy duty but still allows air and such to circulate through the bag. Overall a great product.

Yes I'm Frugal!

As a single mom I'm always looking for good deals on everything. Hey savings money is a good thing, right? Typically protein is pretty costly. My daughter can't eat any poultry or most fish / seafood. So I have to buy a lot of beef , pork and lamb which can add up very quickly. So when I go into stores now I always look for the yellow sale tags or in some stores they are called "Manager's specials". These are meats that are nearing their "sell by" dates. They are perfectly safe if used by or frozen by the listed dates. So PLEASE don't think I am eating or feeding my kid some sort of unsafe meat or anything. 

My daughter LOVES ham so when I saw these tiny hams on sale I jumped on them. I have a deep freezer so whenever I see discount meats and other proteins I always try to buy them and stock up. 

Money Saving Tip: If you have the room stock up on manager's special meats.

Easter is upon us!

Easter is a beautiful "holiday". I view it more from a religious perspective and less of a holiday but that's just comes from growing up in church. As a lover of all things Groupon I went and found that my favorite photographer had listed another Groupon special. So of course I had to snap one up for the princess' Easter pictures. My BFF's mom bought KC a pretty dress last year for her first birthday but my tiny human is so tiny that she can just NOW fit into it.. It is perfect for Easter and pictures. So we traveled out to one of our local parks and shot some really adorable pictures. I was shocked at how well it went. I was kind of worried that the shoot was only 30 minutes. You know with toddlers anything can happen lol. I came to the shoot with props that I had purchased at the 99 cent store. I always suggest going to the 99 cent store for things like photo props and stuff. No point in paying top dollar for things you're going to use once and toss in the closet. That's my frugal mama tip for the day. :)  I'll post a couple of the finished product pictures as soon as I get them back.

2 years old

It's hard to believe that two years ago the most amazing tiny human came into my life via an emergency c-section. We started the morning with the princess' birthday breakfast ( gluten free and vegan waffles, sausage and tofu scramble). Then we went to church. She slept through church. I went to put her in the car and she woke up. So I went back inside so she could see the pastor and have birthday prayer. My mini me walked down the middle isle of the church smiling and waving at  everyone. Like she was running for Congress or something lol We had birthday prayer then headed off to the Aquarium. We went for her birthday last year so I figured we'd make it a tradition and go back this year too. She fell in love with the sting rays. We stood at the big tank for an hour literally. She just watched and watched and talked to them. It was adorable and oddly I didn't mind just standing there for an hour. The joy on her tiny birthday face was so worth it. After the aquarium we went home for dinner. I fixed her her favorite vegan cheese quesadilla, corn and mango.  I was going to get all fancy but hey I just fixed her what she loves and went from there. I was able to find some awesome vegan, gluten free and nut free chocolate treats for her since neither of us can have regular cake. We got a regular cake for the family so they wouldn't be forced to eat allergy friendly lol. It was a fun day had by all. She passed out at around 7pm and slept ALL NIGHT! Normally she wakes up at least once to nurse. When I woke up to nurse her she was still asleep. So I went right on back to bed.

The next day we had her party with one of her play groups. It was so much awesome watching her and all the kids having so much fun. The best part was we did cupcakes and stuff at the end so I sent the kids home all sugared up and bouncing off walls. Mean, I know but they all had so much fun. Overall I think my princess had a wonderful 2 day birthday celebration. Now mom needs a nap lol

Bright Outdoors Picnic Set REVIEW

We're a family who loves picnics in the park so this set is awesome for us. Even my toddler likes it. It's heavy duty but not heavy in weight.  I leave this set in my car because my daughter and I love to take spur of the moment trips to the park. I love that the set is so compact. It doesn't take a lot of room in your bag or your car. Everything in the set is heavy duty and very well made. I would suggest against putting the plates in the microwave but if you're on a picnic you don't have a microwave but just thought I'd mention that. Overall a great set.
