New what's in my bag video!!!

You know I love making packing videos! This time we're going through my newest diaper bag the Ju-Ju-Be Be Classy in the Out to Sea print. I'm slightly obsessed with this bag style. It holds so much and with me being an over packer especially when we're on vacation it's perfect. I'm actually shocked it was as organized as it was. I hadn't opened it since we arrived home a few days ago. I've been carrying my Ju-Ju-Be HoboBe lately. So lets go inside....video below.......

I did it.....

It's that time of year again...consignment sale time! Now anyone who follows me here or on social media knows I love a good consignment sale. Some of you might remember that I was on the fence about selling Kennady's first stroller......  To Consign or not to consign ...... Well I finally did it  AND I put her very first Coach diaper bag up for sale. I looked at my sold items report from the consignment sale and they BOTH sold. It's bittersweet. I knew it was time and someone else could benefit from them but still, it's hard. Kennady was and still is my tiny miracle and these were some of the first things I ever got for her.

I remember pushing her up and down the side walk of the rehab hospital my cousin was in after her stroke. Walking around the mall and everywhere else. I remember the day my ex called and asked "did you ever get a stroller?" KC was 3 or 4 months old at the time. This fool actually thought that my family, friends or I would let KC go without. LMAO Are you kidding me?!?!?! Not sure why that annoyed me but it did.We traveled back and forth from California to Las Vegas with this stroller dozens of times. It served us well.

Now my Coach diaper bag. Oh I was obsessed over it. I looked at it for weeks. I actually went into the store three different times just to look at it. When I found out Kennady was a girl I just HAD to pull the trigger and buy it. It was more than I  wanted to spend but at the time (and now) it was totally worth it.

So two of KC's first baby items have been sold. It was time. She's growing up and so am I.

My Great baby Breast Pump REVIEW

I really like this breast pump. It's super easy to use and if your breast cooperate you can get a great amount of milk out by hand. It's great for travel. It fits perfectly in my diaper bag. I like that you can fit different kinds of bottles onto the pump. I love being able to just stick a nipple of the bottles and feed my daughter. No pouring into bags or anything for storage. Pump into the bottle and go. It's super simple. It's also easy to clean. All the parts come off and can be washed individually. So no growing mold or anything  like that. Overall this is an amazing hand pump for all your pumping needs.

Kimi Kase Review!

As a social media lover I'm all about the selfies and we all know it's hard to get an awesome selfie on the first try. The Kimi case makes it so much easier. The case is made of a hard plastic which does help protect your phone. I wouldn't throw it at a wall or anything but for normal use it's great. The lights are dimmable (that's a word , right? lol) LED lights that go up and down both sides of the case. Being able to dim the lights makes it so much easier to get the perfect lighting for that all important perfect selfie. The case itself is easy to use and install. Yes I'm Frugal!

As a single mom I'm always looking for good deals on everything. Hey savings money is a good thing, right? Typically protein is pretty costly. My daughter can't eat any poultry or most fish / seafood. So I have to buy a lot of beef , pork and lamb which can add up very quickly. So when I go into stores now I always look for the yellow sale tags or in some stores they are called "Manager's specials". These are meats that are nearing their "sell by" dates. They are perfectly safe if used by or frozen by the listed dates. So PLEASE don't think I am eating or feeding my kid some sort of unsafe meat or anything. 

My daughter LOVES ham so when I saw these tiny hams on sale I jumped on them. I have a deep freezer so whenever I see discount meats and other proteins I always try to buy them and stock up. 

Money Saving Tip: If you have the room stock up on manager's special meats.

100% Savings...Couponing!

Just like many of you I'm always on the look out for a good deal. Being a single mom budget is always important. Since my tiny human has so many allergies I have to purchase many specialty foods. Of course most specialty foods are a bit on the costly side so I try to save whenever possible. Yesterday I went on a 100% savings shopping trip. Actually two shopping trips. I emailed some of Kennady's favorite food companies asking if they ever offered coupons to single parents or parents of kids with allergies. Much to my surprise the companies sent coupons and lots of them. I shopped around and checked sales ads until I found the items I was looking for on sale. I took my coupons to Whole Foods and got to shopping. After my manufacturer coupons every item pictured below was 100% FREE!!! I did have to go to Vons to find the FLIPZ pretzels. Those (the FLIPZ) coupons came from a product testing mission I was given. The moral of this post is ask for coupons from your favorite brands. The worst they can say is no. Happy Shopping!

Feeding my kid isn't cheap!

As many of you know my 21 month old has a number of allergies which makes feeding her quite the task. Thankfully I love to cook so I guess it's a bit easier for me. Or at least that's what moms at the allergist's office say. Over the last 21 months , actually over the last three years  I've learned a ton about saving money, couponing and product testing. Had you asked me 5 years ago would I be a couponing mama I would have said you're crazy. NOW? I kind of need to be or I'd go broke. Kennady has to have everything gluten free, dairy free , egg white free, nut free, chicken free, turkey free and oat free. So shopping for her is an act of creativity at best. People always ask how I get free products and great coupons and the simple answer is I ask. Every company now days has a web site and on their website there is a "contact us" button somewhere. Click the button , tell them your story and wait for a reply. Many times companies will offer to either mail you or email you a few coupons. Sometimes I even get doubly blessed and get coupons for totally free items. I do wish there were more coupons for fresh fruits and veggies. I found we have a really great farmers market so I have started shopping there. There is also a local farm that is open during certain seasons and almost everything is $1 a pound or under. You get to pick everything yourself. So that's pretty awesome. I'm going to start posting more about food and savings tactics.
