Sleep Soundly CD: Guitar Music for Insomnia REVIEW

Having a toddler who loves to get up at all hours a night I love this CD. The first night I sat in my rocking chair with my daughter and nursed her back to sleep. I found myself sitting and just listening to the music. It has this whole body relaxing thing it does. The calming music allowed my mind to drift off to a still quiet place. My mind stopped racing. I stopping thinking about what went wrong that day. I stopping making my mental "to-do-list" and was able to just drift off to sleep in full body quietness. As a mom something is always on your mind. This cd helps to quiet that and helps you get a good quality nights sleep. I recommend this CD to anyone who just needs some calm in their life.

Love Kennady and Inza

Gluten Free taco cups

I'm always on the look out for quick and easy allergy friendly meals for Kennady and I. These taco cups are gluten free, dairy free, nut free and wheat free.

Here's what you'll need

Gluten free corn tortillas: I use the Mission Brand corn tortillas Mission Gluten Free Tortillas

Ground Beef: I use the one that has the lowest amount of fat since it's for my toddler.

Dairy Free Cheese:  I use Daiya Cheddar Style Shreds Daiya Cheese

Lettuce:  I used regular ole iceberg lettuce

Tomatoes:  I used Roma Tomatoes since my daughter loves them.

Cup Cake tin

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:  Pre heat over to 350 degrees. On stove top brown ground beef with salt and pepper, Drain grease when finished. Cut tortillas into smaller circles. I used a cup to measure the circles. They should be about 2  inches in diameter. Push small tortilla circles into cupcake tins making small tortilla cups*. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Remove cups from oven. Chop lettuce and tomatoes into small pieces. Fill cups with ground beef , cheddar shreds, lettuce and tomatoes.  Serve and eat!

It really is that simple. My daughter loved these because they are the perfect size for her little hands.

* Heat tortillas in microwave for 15 seconds to avoid cracking when putting them into the cupcake tins.

Elegana 10 Pieces Premium Kitchen Ceramic Knives REVIEW!!

This is my very first set of ceramic knives. These knives are made of high quality materials. I cook 3 meals a day for my toddler. With toddlers of course everything has to be cut into smaller pieces so I use my knives a lot. These for me seem to work even better than my "normal" knives. They are not full "chef's quality" but they are very high quality for everyday home kitchen use. The handles are curved so they fit comfortably in your hands. I have smaller hands so it's harder to find knives that feel like they "fit well" in my hands. The curve on these knives made it very easy for me to use and get a nice safe grip on. The blades are sleek and sturdy. Overall a really great set of knives.

Aleratec Universal 4 Tablet Charging Organizer REVIEW

I received this tablet stand from Aleratec and it's nice. It's made with your standard plastic. It's a bit on the thin side but still sturdy. I was able to put mine and my daughter's tablets in it and it worked just fine on my small desk. When I removed the smaller android tablet it did tip over with just the Ipad in it since the Ipad was in the very last slot. It's easy to "setup" and simple to use. Overall a great product.

Spark and Bee Premium Baby Stroller Organizer REVIEW

I am kind of a stroller addict and have had many stroller organizers. This is one of the top ones I've ever used. It fits perfectly on my Bugaboo Bee , Bugaboo Cam, Graco and Mamas and Papas strollers. It truly is universal. The bottle holders securely hold my daughter's sippy cup and my Oggi water bottle. I like the extra wide velcro so you ca attach it to many different strollers with many different size handle bars. Overall a very well made product.

Small Business Saturday!

I always love supporting small businesses. Heck I AM a small business. So a couple weeks ago on Small Business Saturday I took the princess to do some shopping at one of the local events. Oh It was awesome. I wish I had gotten more pictures but we were enjoying ourselves so much that I totally forgot to pull out my phone until we sat down to have lunch. There was a booth for a local Mexican Restaurant. I love Mexican food but can't eat it too much anymore since I'm still nursing and the princess has so many allergies. Well this place offered not only gluten free (100% corn tortillas) but they offered vegan options. I was able to get the princess her very own taco. She loved it. Again I wish I would have taken pictures but we were stuffing our faces so fast I forgot I even HAD a phone somewhere. After we ate we went and saw Elsa at the cupcake shop. Kennady got a gluten free vegan cupcake and Elsa sang to/with her. It was a fun time had by all. I took pictures of that but other people's kids were there too and I'm pretty anti posting pictures of other people's kids without permission. Oh and she got to make a craft. A little green foam mitten. She promptly shoved it in her mouth. I DID take pictures of that lol  After Santa , Elsa and lunch we headed to the playground in the middle of the mall. It was a fun mommy and me kind of day.

*Side note*  Santa remembered us from last year. He said oh wow she couldn't walk last year (ok good guess she's not even 2 yet but ok dude). Then he says you were at the (insert mall name last time) (ok so he was right). Then he told me the exact event we were at last year when we got the pictures taken. ok So maybe Santa does know all lol

Feeding my kid isn't cheap!

As many of you know my 21 month old has a number of allergies which makes feeding her quite the task. Thankfully I love to cook so I guess it's a bit easier for me. Or at least that's what moms at the allergist's office say. Over the last 21 months , actually over the last three years  I've learned a ton about saving money, couponing and product testing. Had you asked me 5 years ago would I be a couponing mama I would have said you're crazy. NOW? I kind of need to be or I'd go broke. Kennady has to have everything gluten free, dairy free , egg white free, nut free, chicken free, turkey free and oat free. So shopping for her is an act of creativity at best. People always ask how I get free products and great coupons and the simple answer is I ask. Every company now days has a web site and on their website there is a "contact us" button somewhere. Click the button , tell them your story and wait for a reply. Many times companies will offer to either mail you or email you a few coupons. Sometimes I even get doubly blessed and get coupons for totally free items. I do wish there were more coupons for fresh fruits and veggies. I found we have a really great farmers market so I have started shopping there. There is also a local farm that is open during certain seasons and almost everything is $1 a pound or under. You get to pick everything yourself. So that's pretty awesome. I'm going to start posting more about food and savings tactics.

YES I am THAT mom and NO I don't care

I know screen time for kids under a certain age is oh so controversial for a lot of people. It's not in my house. Today I was getting my nails done (as I do every two weeks ) and Kennady who is normally the best behaved child felt the need to act like a toddler while we were there. I've never had an issue taking her to the nail place with me. It's well ventilated and I always have her stroller fan blowing to keep anything away from her. The place only has three walls. The front is all open. I say all this because I know people will freak out about taking a toddler to the nail place because of fumes. So anyway Kennady was in her stroller acting like a toddler. I pulled out her Android phone , her Verizon JetPack and hanging bear phone holder. I set everything up for her to watch her Baby Einstein videos, gave her her favorite juice cup  , a Baby Mum Mum and she was the happiest kid ever. Now I know some people don't agree with this and would "never" allow a screen to entertain their child. Fine that's you and YAY YOU! That's not me. I try to be considerate of others. No one is paying to sit there and listen to my child scream. Hell I'm not paying to sit there and listen to my toddler scream and I LOVE her. After her video started she sat there giggling like the sweetest angel until my nails were done and then we went shopping for a Christmas dress.

I personally see nothing wrong with parents who use electronics to entertain their kids especially when they are out and about. Kennady is normally the best kid ever when we're out but even the best kid can have an off day. Why not allow them to be entertained and NOT disturb others around them? As parents I think we forget that not everyone wants to deal with OUR child(ren) and I'm a believer that they shouldn't have to. If it gets really bad of course I will get up and leave but if I can find a way to get my nails done or have dinner out without my princess screaming like someone lit her on fire AND it only involves a $9.99 android phone....yep I'm all over it. For your sake and mine. You should really thank me. I could just let her scream and ignore her like I've seen many a parent do. Now I'm not saying use the screen all the time but sometimes isn't going to kill them.
