SWEES Apple Watch Band REVIEW

Just because I'm a mom doesn't mean I don't want to still be trendy and cute. One of the ways I love to change up my style is with Apple Watch bands. This cute funky band by SWEES allows me to show off my more "rock" side. The band is leather with cute silver studs. I have been wearing it for a couple weeks now and haven't had any problems. It's super simple to attach. You just push the buttons on the back of your watch and slide the band on or off. Just like most other bands. This band is totally going into my top rotating of bands. I love it.

GENIANI Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier REVIEW

I've been wanting a humidifier for a long time and so when Geniani sent me this humidifier I was way  too excited. Right out of the box it was super simple to put together and use. You literally fill it with water , plug it in and turn it on. It really is that simple. No filters to fiddle with or anything overly confusing.  It's also very quiet. My daughter has a bed in my room and can be a very light sleeper. I was able to run the unit all night and she never woke up. I actually never heard the unit once all night. I actually checked once to make sure it was on. Speaking of that I love the night light feature. I can look over at it in the dark and see exactly where the water level is. Do I need to add more water? Or is it fine the way it is. Awesome feature. Overall I give this an A+++. It will be running in my bedroom every night.

Diner En Blanc Las Vegas

My friend and I got to attend the ultra swanky Diner En Blanc event in Las Vegas. For those who don't know what DIner En Blanc is it's pretty much a fancy picnic where everyone dresses in white. Here's the fun part... when you arrive at your pick-up/bus location you have no idea where you're going. The location of the picnic is told to you when you get on the bus. So you do all this planning and have zero idea where you're going to be having this picnic. This year we were totally surprised when we pulled up to the gate of Wayne Newton's home  Casa de Shenandoah. It was stunning. We got off the buses in total awe. We were directed
to where we were to setup our tables and chairs. My friend Mary and I setup up rather quickly
and got our food warming. I used two of the aqua heat warmers by Innobaby to warm our
chicken breasts and potatoes. I actually had those warming while we were setting up the table.
Once we got everything setup we went over to take pictures with the big Diner en Blanc letters.
Then we did the famous DEB napkin wave. Which we actually missed while standing in line
for photosbut that's ok we got to stand and see all the napkins wave across the lawn. It was
beautiful. Next it was time for dinner. I did a meat and cheese tray, salad in a jar , grilled
chicken, carrots and mashed potatoes. We were free to eat for as long as we wanted. When the
sunset it was time for the sparkler wave to openthe dance floor. We actually got to take part
in that lol. When the dance floor opened everyone rushed for it. We danced all night. It was
so much fun. We also got a chance to walk around Wayne Newton's property and see all of
the animals and the grounds. It was a beautiful night. At the end of the night it was time to
clean up. We had to pack all of our things back into our bags and haul them back to the bus.
Which of course were NOT parked where they were supposed to be.  I also realized I'm fat
and out of shape. So you know...I gotta hit the gym or something All in all it was an amazing
night and we're going to do it again next year.

The History of Diner En Blanc:

The Dîner en Blanc concept began in Paris in 1988 when Frenchman François Pasquier invited a group of friends to an elegant outdoor dinner at Bois de Boulogne, asking them to dress in white so they could find each other. The event's presence has grown to over 70 cities, with almost 15,000 gathering for the 25th-anniversary event in Paris.
Pasquier's son, Aymeric, introduced the concept to Montreal, Canada in 2009. The event made its New York debut in 2011.
In 2012, Singapore was the first Asian city to host a Dîner en Blanc, and Brisbane the first Australian city.Canberra held Dîners en Blanc in 2013 and 2014, Melbourne debuted the phenomenon in 2015,.

I get it

So many times sexual assaults go unreported out of fear and shame. I have always understood that but I had personally never actually met someone who has or would call an assault victim names or shame them (either male for female). I have finally met one and it makes me ill. I was having dinner with a friend and mentioned why a friend had stopped doing pageants when she was around 19. Someone running the event put his hand under her swim suit after she had said no to an unwanted kiss. The person I was dining with flipped out and started calling her and all women who are sexually assaulted "fucking liars" saying give him 10 minutes with him and he'd have them crying. So because she happens to be female she is never to be believed , called names and made to cry? For me as a woman this is a sad sad sad form of thinking. The idea that attacking a woman who has been assaulted is some how "ok" sickens me.  It sickens me that women are attacked when they wait "too long" to report an assault but they're also attacked when they report right away. Why are men valued more than women? Why are women's bodies not valued? Women are humans beings too. I keep getting stuck on the fact that my friend was called a "fucking liar" by someone who has never met them nor knows the person who assaulted her YET the perpetrator was automatically defended and the woman automatically demonized. Why?  Just why? Sexual assault is one of the most horrible things that can happen to a human being male or female and yet people are made to feel badly about being a victim. It's wrong! Just plain wrong!

You scream I scream we all scream for ICE CREAM...Museum !!!

We got to go to the most Instagrammable (is that even a word? lol) place ever! We went to the Museum of Ice Cream in Los Angeles.  I tried to get tickets each time they went on sale and never had any luck until the next to the last time they went on sale. At the time of course they said it was the LAST time so I was on a mission. After sitting in the virtual line for almost 2 hours I was abe to purchase our tickets. I got them 2 months ahead of our trip.

Off to Los Angeles we went! Now let me just say this awesome place isn't in the most awesome location. It kinda looks like the LA you see on an episode of Dateline where people get killed. I'm a Californian so eh I didn't much mind lol We valet parked the car and headed for the entrance. We had to go stand in line with the rest of our tour people. Outside they have this really neat play area for the kids and adults to enjoy. I knew if i let Kennady see it before the tour we'd never get her out of there. So we stood in line and waited for our tour time.

Finally our very happy tour guide came out and told us all about the rules of the museum. THEN SHE OPENED THE DOORS!!! It was like stepping into a pretty pink dream.  The first thing you see are pretty pinks walls covered with ice cream and candy. Of course Kennady had to touch it all BUT that's kinda what this place is about....well most of it. You get to pick as many Dove chocolates out of the ice cream cart before going into the next room.
You get into yet another pink room where there are phones. You pick up the phone and follow the directions they tell you on the phone.  The recording tells you go head into the next room.

It's California so of course it's Hollywood themed complete with a guess the flavor ice cream game. They had cute palm trees with pink crystal "grass". Kennady fell in love with the pink crystals. I wont lie so did I. As you can tell she totally thinks I'm a dork.

The next room is all about bananas! The wallpaper is scratch and sniff. It really did smell like bananas. Which was totally neat. They had banana swings too but Kennady had no interest in them after she saw the room full of hanging bananas. The rules say do not touch but when you have a toddler the first thing they want to do is touch. So I tried my best to keep her hands off them. As you can see I didn't do a very good job but none of them tangled or were damaged.

Next was the mint room. This room was my friend Dani's favorite. They had mint MOCHI!!! The best mochi I've actually ever tasted. Everything in the room in mint green and they even have living mint plants that make the room smell amazing. Oh and did I mention they let you have as much of the mint mochi as you want!!!?!?!

All the colors were so bright and so much fun. It was also kind of cool knowing you are standing in the same spot Beyonce was standing in. Yep I'm lame like that lol
Since's it a museum of course they had all sorts of art work and neat things to look at (and not touch). I fell in love with the ice cream sundae shoes.
They had these cool sculptures of popsicles on the floor and coming out of the walls. They were roped off so we couldn't touch them. We were also rushed through the room like they didn't want  anyone in there. WHY put up something if you don't want people to stop and look at it? Makes no sense to me. At least we got one pictures with the wall-pops.
GUMMY BEARS GUMMY BEARS!!! KC was very excited for the gummy bear room. I'll admit it so was I because gummy bears are one of the few allergy friendly candies she can actually eat like most other kids.

KC and Dani eating their weight in gummy bears. They kept going back to the gummy bear room eve tho they weren't supposed to go backwards in the tour. They kinda just went back and hung out there eating and sitting with the gummy bears for awhile.

Now on to one of the funnest things I've ever done. A pool full of plastic SPRINKLES!!! Some kids would be like NO I'm not ging in there. NOT MINE!! She went right in and played.
