Neilmed® Naspira® Nasal-Oral Aspirator

As many of you know my daughter has a number of allergies. When her nose starts to run or is stopped up it takes an act of Congress to get all that snot out. Until now..... The Neilmed® Naspira® Nasal-Oral Aspirator is everything you never knew you wanted and needed in a "nose sucker". I don't even know where to start. Lets start with the fact you get two nose suckers in one which was a blessing for me. My mom watches my daughter sometimes and the IDEA of sucking my daughter's snot out with her mouth grosses her out even tho I show her how and show her there IS in FACT a filter and nothing will ever touch her mouth. She still says no. The Neilmed® Naspira® Nasal-Oral Aspirator  comes apart. You can use the nose sucker that you put into your mouth , the other end in the baby's nose and suck OR you can take the hose part off and use the old school bulb syringe (which of course my mom prefers lol).

Now I've used a few of these in my day and this one is by far the one I like the most. The high quality plastic is easy to clean and sterilize. The tip of the bulb (the part that goes into the baby's nose) is soft unlike other products. My daughter seemed to find the soft tip much more comfortable. There is MUCH less screaming when trying to clear out her nose when using Neilmed® Naspira® Nasal-Oral Aspirator. The orange tip that parents place in their mouths is a nice hard plastic (it makes it easier for the lips to grip) , it's easily removed for cleaning and sterilization. You get seven filters with your unit. They are super easy remove and replace. You simply remove the tube, pop the old filter out and push a new one in. You will need to use a little force with it but that's a good thing. The tightness makes sure nothing gets past it into your mouth. Overall this is an amazing product. This is my new go-to baby shower gift for all my friends who are  having babies.

It's Ok....

I've been sitting here reading through my Facebook timeline and shaking my head. First off when will people understand that babysitting isn't "raising" someone's child? When will they get there's so much more that  goes into parenting than just watching a kid. Worrying where that child's next meal is coming from isn't something a babysitter is worried about. Paying for medical insurance isn't something a babysitter is worried about.  OK now on to the point of this post.....

I literally read someone's post today that made me gasp and laugh. Someone who is child free and NOT a parent ,no matter how many babies she's babysat or "raised".  She was going on and on about how when she has kids she wont ever call anyone for help because she knows what to do and as parents people should know what to do with their kids. She acted as if those who do ask for help are some how failures or bad parents. Statements like these are why so many parents are embarrassed to ask for help. There is nothing wrong with a parent asking for help when they need it. Asking for help is in no way a failure. My family STILL helps me. They have been a God send and I'm not embarrassed to say so. Sometimes asking for help is the only way parents stay sane. In the old days the saying was "It takes a village..." Now days these parents are too busy  trying to live up to what they see on social media. People only put what they want you to see on social media. Kind of like how all the models on magazines are photoshopped. People only want to put out the best. So many don't post pictures or status updates about their moms watching their kids while they work or while they go shopping. Why? Because moms should never ask someone to help them. It's just insane.

Parents ask for all the help you need your child will thank you.

Sound Intone HD30 Lightweight Foldable Headphones with Microphone(Purple) REVIEW!

These are a great pair of light weight fold-able headphones. The sound quality is good for the price. The bass is actually quite nice unlike other head phones in the same price range. They are comfortable to wear and are easily adjusted. They work great with my laptop and my Iphone. The cord is covered with a nice "fabric" which protects the cord from fraying. Overall a great product.

On-the-Go Wipes Dispenser REVIEW!

I like these wipe cases. They make grabbing a quick wipe very convenient. The hard plastic protects the wipes and keeps them moist and not dried out. When I hang the container from my stroller the yellow cap stays closed (yay gravity!) I did however notice that when I lay the container flat the yellow cap doesn't always stay shut. I think this is a great stroller accessory but maybe not the best for a situation where it doesn't hang. Overall a good product.

External DVD Drive REVIEW!

Since we do a lot of traveling I bought a small HP Stream laptop. The laptop does not come with a DVD/CD Drive. So this unit is perfect. It's super easy to use. It is literally plug and play. So far it has worked great. I can not only use the drive to pull up and store my work but my tiny princess can watch all of her favorite DVDs in our hotel room right on my laptop. I no longer have to bring her personal DVD player with us. This drive has solved a number of travel issues. Mainly the issue of space. The cord has a section on the back of the unit that it just pushes into. No looking for cords or possibly losing them. That's a huge feature for me especially with a toddler running around. My cords tend to vanish. The unit itself is very compact and takes up very little space. It's very well made. Overall an awesome product. I love it.

My Mother's Day Weekend

Mother's Day weekend was pretty awesome this year. Friday the family and I did some last minute shopping then headed to church to help setup for the Mother's Day luncheon. Setup lasted until well after 11pm. My wide awake toddler kept everyone entertained lol After everything was done we headed home. Now my family is the kind of family that can't hold onto gifts so we had exchanged gifts days before Mother's Day. On Saturday we all were able to go to church together for the first time in 2 years. We went and had a lovely lunch with beautiful singing and an awesome message. Kennady slept through most of the program. I took her travel high chair and packed her a lunch just in case. She woke up as we were helping clean up. I sat her in her high chair with her allergy friendly lunch and she ate as she watched us clean up. She was quite the happy camper. 

On Sunday my aunt , Kennady and I went to church. Kennady played with her quiet book and we listened to the message. It was a wonderful weekend and blessed weekend. The church even gave each mother a beautiful custom made gift basket. I loved spending Mother's Day with the mothers in my life that I love and that love me. My mom and my Aunt have always been there for me, supported me and loved me. I pray for their health safety daily. I'm very blessed to have the love and support I have.

Silicone Stretch Lids REVIEW!

These lids are a must have in every kitchen. I have a toddler who loves things like dairy free yogurt and apples. Things that normally don't have lids to put over them if they aren't fully eaten. These stretchy silicone lids are just what I have been looking for. These things fit on almost any size or shaped  container. They are super easy to use and easy to wash. You literally just stretch them over the item/object and you're good to go. I cover juice cups, yogurt cups, soda cans , apples , oranges ...you name it. I can save almost anything now. The lids are also leak proof so if something gets knocked over in the frig or on the counter you don't have to worry about it going all over the place. Overall a great product!
